It’s that time of year again, Apple has unveiled its iPhones for 2019. And we have three to choose from: the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. However, if you’re looking for a model of the iPhone XS, you’ll have to look somewhere else – Apple will no longer sell the iPhone XS, XS Max, and 7.

Before buying any new phone, it’s important to think about what screen size is best for you, and how much storage do you need? And if you should buy a new model or save money by selecting an older model.

Today, we’re going to discuss price, specs, and features, to help you feel more confident about what iPhone is best for you. Here’s what you need to know about the new iPhone lineup.

iPhone 11

The iPhone 11 series of phones look to take over every subset of the smartphone market, starting with iPhone 11. Consider it a cost-effective entry point for the masses that’s stylish, accessible, and powerful.

Specs

The iPhone 11 delivers where it counts the most — the Apple A13 Bionic chipset. This chipset is widely regarded as the fastest chip in the smartphone game. In fact, it outperforms the speed and performance of the competition.

Apple made improvements to the iPhone’s cameras this generation. The iPhone 11 comes with dual 12MP wide and ultra-wide cameras. Storage options include 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, with 4GB of RAM coming standard. Plus, the phone’s 6.1-inch 720p LCD display uses scratch-resistant glass.

Features

The new OS, iOS 13, introduces:

The device’s new-found ability to crop and zoom pictures after they’ve been taken is also a welcome change for many.

Price

Much of the initial hoopla surrounding the iPhone 11 was its price. At launch, Apple attached an asking price of:

Some may balk at the idea of a $699 “budget” phone. However, it’s important to note that the iPhone 11 launch price is cheaper than the cost of the iPhone XR when it launched.

iPhone 11 Pro

While the base iPhone 11 delivers where it means the most, the iPhone 11 Pro ramps it up. Whether the extra features justify the extra cost is a question that only you can answer.

Specs

Though the aesthetic design is virtually identical and they share a chipset, the iPhone 11 Pro received an upgraded, if smaller, 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR display. The Pro also has another 12MP telephoto lens, making a grand total of three rear-facing lenses.

Other changes include a better battery, included fast-charging adapter, and upgraded water resistance.

Features

The hardware differences allow iPhone 11 Pro users to enjoy some extra features. The added camera lens doubles the available optical zoom and some may prefer the smaller screen size.

Like the base model, the 11 Pro includes Night Mode, shatter-resistant glass, and faster Face ID.

Price

The iPhone 11 Pro is more expensive. $300 more expensive, in fact.

Being on the cutting edge of technology comes at a cost. The iPhone 11 Pro will cost:

Unlike the base model, there is no 128GB model for the 11 Pro.

iPhone 11 Pro Max

The iPhone 11 Pro Max aims to build upon the foundation of the previous 11s with a few experience-enhancing upgrades. However, are these upgrades meaningful enough to justify the expensive price tag?

Specs

The iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn’t veer too far from the 11 Pro in the spec department. That’s not to say that they are identical. The Pro Max comes with a larger, 6.5-inch display, and a better, longer-lasting battery.

Features

This phone features the same software upgrades of the 11 Pro. However, the larger screen opens plenty of new opportunities in its own right.

Professionals may find editing photos and videos easier on the larger Pro Max screen. The battery upgrade — though not substantial — still offers an extra hour, which is always handy.

Price

The Pro Max is the top of the iPhone 11 food chain. As such, it is the most expensive of the trio.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max starts at $1,099, which comes with a 64GB capacity. 256GB and 512GB options are available for $1,249 and $1,449 respectively.
