The Ford Focus comes with a number of different trim levels. While even the base model is handsomely equipped, there are a number of available options: interior trim options, exterior trim options, additional safety features, entertainment features and performance features.
The Focus comes as either a sedan or a hatchback.
Standard Features
All of the Focus’ offer a healthy compliment of standard features. Even the most basic “S” model with no upgrades has the powerful Sync included. Every Focus comes with seating for five, independent front and rear suspension, torque vectoring control and electronic stability control.
The “S” Model
Base, but not basic, the “S” comes with the Sync technology and a 2.0L “FlexFuel” engine. Though upgrades are limited, an available automatic transmission and exterior protection packages can be added to the vehicle. The “S” comes with four basic paint colors.
The “SE” Model
Available in either a sedan or hatchback configuration, the “SE” builds on the “S” platform. The “SE” offers an equipment package that upgrades the wheels and headlights, adds paddle shifters, upgrading to a leather interior and ambient lighting. The Sync system can be upgraded to include premium audio. A sports package/performance package gives the car a sports tuned suspension and upgraded body work for air flow. This car also comes with an available power moonroof.
The “Titanium” Model
Available as either a sedan or hatchback, the Titanium offers potent technical upgrades to make your drives easier, and a leather interior that makes them more comfortable. The “Titanium” starts where the upgraded SE left off: a leather interior and upgraded Sync system come standard, as does the automatic transmission. A power moonroof can be added, as can the powerful technology package, that adds high-powered headlights, driver safety features such as lane assist, blind spot information and cross-traffic alerts. An upgrade to the navigation system can give you voice activated, hands free navigation, integrated with SiriusXM real-time traffic updates.
The “ST” Model
Every Focus will get you where you’re going, but the “ST” will get you there faster. Only available as a hatchback, the “ST” comes handsomely equipped to start, offering the best upgrades of the SE and Titanium as standard equipment. There are two equipment upgrades available: the first package includes upgraded headlights, upgraded audio, the advanced navigation system, a larger LCD infotainment screen, REACO front bucket seats and 6 months of SiriusXM satellite radio. The second package includes all of the first, plus “ST” badging, a carbon fiber interior package and improved ambient lighting. The “ST” has an available moonroof, and comes with a custom-sport manual transmission.
In summation, there is no wrong answer with the focus, and the only question is which model or trim is right for you. With numerous upgrades and choices available, the Focus is sure to offer the right customizable mixture of comfort, convenience and value for any driver in the current car market.
